Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED equivalent.
• Over six months and up to one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts systematic daily checks of assigned areas to locate breeding areas.
• Identify breeding problems and select appropriate control technique and/or treatment.
• Applies insecticides and chemicals according to procedure while complying with EPA and county regulations.
• Uses light traps to capture adult mosquitoes and records landing rate counts.
• Reads maps and schedules to determine spraying locations.
• Operates spray truck safely and in compliance with traffic laws.
• Sprays only during suitable weather conditions.
• Cleans and maintains spray truck and equipment; flushes spray system after each shift.
• Follows safety policies and disposes chemicals per safety procedures.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
