Job summary

Donley’s in Cleveland, OH is seeking a VDC (Virtual Design Coordinator) Engineer I to lead virtual design and construction efforts from our Cleveland office. This entry-level role supports BIM coordination, model development from schematic to fabrication, and collaboration with field teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering with 2+ co-op/internship experiences, and are proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, and BIM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Two or more semesters of co-op or internship in commercial construction.
• Experience with BIM coordination and VDC processes is a plus.
• Ability to write reports and communicate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage project BIM updates, coordination and data storage.
• Manage construction team efforts in the implementation of VDC applications and processes.
• Develop levels of detailed models from schematic to fabrication.
• Produce line drawings, joint layouts, pour sequences and logistical drawings.
• Identify conflicts and discrepancies within construction documents.
• Provide point layout information to field engineers.
• Maintain an as-built model that includes the latest issued information.
• Write RFIs to be reviewed and submitted by the project team.
• Support established VDC and BIM initiatives leveraged by project teams in office and field.
