Job summary

DP Electric Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a VDC Engineer to lead BIM workflows for electrical projects, develop BIM execution plans, and coordinate with design and field teams to optimize construction processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration and innovative use of BIM tools to improve project outcomes. You will create and manage detailed BIM models, oversee clash detection, and train project teams on Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP, and Bluebeam to drive efficiency and accuracy across all

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
Three (3) years of experience in electrical contracting focusing on BIM/VD C.
Proficiency in BIM software and virtual design tools.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains BIM execution plans with project-specific goals, standards, and processes.
Creates accurate BIM models for electrical systems integrated into the overall project model.
Manages clash detection and resolution to minimize design conflicts before construction.
Provides technical training and support on BIM workflows to project teams.
Conducts model reviews/audits to ensure adherence to BIM standards and specs.
Facilitates interdisciplinary coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts.
Collaborates with contractors, subs, and suppliers to integrate models into the project model.
Implements technologies like laser scanning, drone imaging, AR to enhance VDC processes.
Keeps up-to-date with BIM tech through training and continuous learning.
