Wharton-Smith, Inc. in Sanford, FL is seeking a VDC Engineer to join our corporate office. The role focuses on planning, visualization, and computer modeling of construction projects, delivering detailed plans for field teams and engineers to execute.

You'll manage BIM workflows, coordinate with subs, and support both onsite and office teams. The position calls for basic design/construction understanding, strong communication, and an opportunity to lead project tasks and advance BIM standards.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience; internship experience in a related field preferred.
• Experience with Autodesk AEC Suite including AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.

Responsabilités

• Plan, visualize, and model construction projects using BIM workflows.
• Produce detailed construction and design plans for field teams and engineers.
• Lead select project tasks and coordinate with subcontractors and on-site teams.
• Manage project model setup and lifecycle; support 3D trade coordination.
• Lead QA/QC and maintain BIM across platforms; troubleshoot issues.
• Support reality capture services (LiDAR, drone) as needed.
• Ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
