Job summary

Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking a self-motivated VDC professional to join our internal team. You will create virtual simulations, coordinate 3D models, and push BIM solutions for site logistics, safety, sequencing, scheduling, and VR experiences.

Proficiency with SketchUp, CAD, Revit, Navisworks and Lumion is required, plus the ability to read drawings and specifications and work with cross‑discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management with 3–5 years of experience.
• BIM software, hardware, and technology knowledge.
• Ability to read drawings and understand specifications, building codes, and other technical data.
• Familiar with MEPF system design and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Create virtual simulations to validate and improve site logistics, safety concerns, sequencing, scheduling, and VR experiences.
• Manage 3D coordination activities with operation teams from kickoff through closeout.
• Perform preconstruction model tasks – quality verifications, schedule validations, constructability reviews, and virtual mock-up production.
• Drive research and development of new software, hardware, and technology to optimize execution and project quality.

Typical Daily tasks include:

• Creating virtual simulations to validate and improve site logistics, safety concerns, building sequencing, scheduling, and VR experiences.
