Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking a motivated, tech-savvy individual to join the internal Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team in Charlotte, NC. You will help create virtual simulations, validate site logistics, and drive innovation in BIM workflows.

Ideal candidates will have construction or architecture understanding, hands-on BIM experience, and a collaborative mindset to deliver both team-based and independent projects on tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Creating virtual simulations to validate and improve site logistics, safety concerns, building sequencing, scheduling, and VR experiences.
• Manage 3D coordination activities with operation teams from project kickoff through closeout.
• Perform preconstruction model tasks – quality verifications, schedule validations, constructability reviews, and virtual mock-up production.
• Drive research and development of new software, hardware, and technology to optimize execution and overall project quality.

Typical Daily tasks include:
