Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in the Washington, DC Metro Area (College Park, MD; Arlington, VA; Herndon, VA offices) seeks a self-motivated, tech-savvy VDC team member. Responsibilities include creating virtual simulations, coordinating 3D models, and driving R&D of new software and hardware to optimize project execution.

Responsibilities

• Create virtual simulations to validate site logistics, safety concerns, sequencing, scheduling, and VR experiences.
• Manage 3D coordination activities with operation teams from kickoff through closeout.
• Perform preconstruction model tasks—quality verifications, schedule validations, constructability reviews, and virtual mock-ups.

• Creating virtual simulations to validate and improve site logistics, safety concerns, building sequencing, scheduling, and VR experiences.
• Manage 3D coordination activities with operation teams from project kickoff through closeout.
• Perform preconstruction model tasks - quality verifications, schedule validations, constructability reviews, and virtual mock-up production.
• Drive research and development of new software, hardware, and technology to optimize the team's execution and overall project quality.
