Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate degree acceptable with substantial experience.
• Journeyman license with 3–5 years in electrical planning, design, or construction coordination.
• Strong NEC knowledge and experience in coordinating with project managers and field teams.
• Ability to plan material takeoffs, resource scheduling, and collaborate across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist with VDC coordination for subcontractors and provide basic guidance.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams onsite to review scope, schedules, and prefabrication opportunities.
• Define VDC scope of work and set deliverable schedules to match project timelines.
• Recommend electrical installation practices by reviewing past projects and codes.
• Promote standards and drive technology adoption benefiting Interstates and clients.
• Collect project information and communicate changes to teams.
• Mentor designers and technicians in BIM modelling and best practices.
• Resolve field issues by working with field leaders to identify challenges and propose solutions.
• Assess project risks and mitigation strategies via project documentation.
• Provide feedback on deliverables and adjustments needed to technicians and designers.
• Identify process improvements in VDC workflows using lessons learned.
