Job summary

Holder Construction seeks a BIM/VDC Engineer to join the Virtual Design & Construction team for a project in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. This full-time, in-person role focuses on coordinating 3D models and resolving constructability issues with internal and external teams.

You will leverage Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks to deliver accurate models, support the coordination schedule, and ensure compliance with contract documents.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years BIM/VDC experience on commercial construction projects
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Computer Graphics, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent
• Willingness to relocate and travel
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and coordination tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment and independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other tools
• Understanding of contract documents, drawings, specs, and project schedules
• Basic understanding of construction management processes (RFIs, submittals, shop drawings)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate problem solving with technology and project teams
• Coordinate workload for projects with VDC Managers
• Manage modeling efforts and deliverables to resolve construction issues
• Track VDC coordination schedule and provide progress updates
• Identify and resolve coordination conflicts using clash detection in Navisworks
• Lead clash resolution and coordination meetings
• Produce accurate models using company standards
• Conduct quality reviews of modeled scope and ensure contract compliance
• Apply training concepts to improve project coordination
• Implement VDC services per standards and best practices
• Contribute to VDC goals and company initiatives

About The Role

We are looking for a BIM/VDC Engineer to join our Virtual Design & Construction team on our project in Franklin Furnace, Ohio. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate problem solving using technology and collaboration with project teams, both internal and external
• Coordinate workload for one or more projects with VDC Manager(s)
• Manage modeling efforts and deliverables to solve construction issues
• Understand and contribute to the VDC coordination schedule by tracking responsibilities and providing progress updates
• Identify and facilitate resolution of coordination conflicts using clash detection in Navisworks
• Lead clash resolution and coordination meetings, ensuring all items are completed
• Use modeling best practices and company standards to produce accurate models
• Conduct quality reviews of modeled scope from others and confirm compliance with contract documents
• Apply concepts from training sessions and lessons learned to facilitate project coordination
• Understand and implement VDC services in accordance with standards and best practices
• Contribute to VDC goals and company initiatives

Qualifications

Required:

• 0-4 years of BIM/VDC experience working on commercial construction projects
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Computer Graphics, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Willingness to relocate and travel
• Willingness to learn, grow, and further develop relevant professional skills
• Knowledge of 3D modeling and coordination tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and other applicable tools
• Understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, and project schedules
• Basic understanding of the construction management process (RFIs, Submittals, Shop Drawings)

Preferred

• Outstanding communication and time management skills
• Experience applying VDC best practices on large-scale projects
