Job summary
Okland Construction in Texas is seeking a VDC Engineer to drive construction technology, modeling, coordination, and visualization for complex projects. You will support 2D/3D model development, site logistics, and cross-disciplinary coordination using Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Assemble.
Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in CM/Architecture/CE, 2+ years in commercial construction or VDC, and hands-on BIM experience.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction or VDC/bim coordination.
- Hands-on experience with BIM and VDC technologies (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Assemble).
- Experience developing and coordinating 2D/3D construction models for building, site, and MEP coordination.
- Familiarity with 4D scheduling, reality capture, drone applications is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 2D and 3D construction models to support planning, coordination, and execution.
- Create detailed visual deliverables: site logistics plans, sequencing graphics, coordination drawings.
- Coordinate across architectural, structural, civil, and MEP systems to resolve conflicts early.
- Build models supporting 4D scheduling and project visualization for active projects and preconstruction.
