The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking a VDC Engineer to join our Maryland-based team. This role focuses on creating virtual designs, coordinating 3D models, and evaluating BIM workflows to improve site logistics, safety, and project quality.

The successful candidate will have BIM software experience, the ability to read drawings, collaborate across disciplines, and 3–5 years of VDC or BIM-related experience. Salary ranges from $70,000 to $82,000 per year for Maryland.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred in architecture, civil engineering, or construction management.
• 3–5 years of experience in VDC/BIM or related field.
• Experience with BIM software and related technology.

Responsibilities

• Create virtual simulations to improve site logistics, safety, scheduling, and VR experiences.
• Manage 3D coordination activities with operations from kickoff to closeout.
• Perform preconstruction model tasks: quality verifications, schedule validations, constructability reviews, and virtual mock-ups.
