Job summary

Balfour Beatty US seeks an Assistant VDC Manager to join the Mid-Atlantic team, based out of Richmond, VA. This role supports model coordination, digital delivery workflows, and BIM process improvements to drive project outcomes.

Ideal candidates have about four years of BIM and VDC experience, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to advance VDC standards across projects while working with trade partners, designers, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field required.
• 3+ years of VDC/BIM experience within the construction industry, including commercial projects.
• Strong communication, collaboration, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Experience with operations, preconstruction, design partners, trade contractors, and clients.
• Interest in innovative technologies and continuous improvement for project delivery.
• Ability to support VDC strategies and standard adherence.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate multi-trade coordination and clash detection using Navisworks and Revit.
• Coordinate building systems with trade partners to resolve conflicts.
• Perform BIM execution planning, model logistics, and data management.
• Create and maintain architectural, structural, and MEP models through design and construction.
• Provide model-based support for documentation, coordination, and field use.
• Assist teams with Procore and ACC workflows.
• Perform model checks for quality and alignment with documents.
• Collaborate with project teams to support digital delivery best practices.
