Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) is recruiting for adjunct teaching positions in the Cinema Program on an ongoing basis. Selected candidates will teach courses that align with their expertise and be proactive members of the Cinema community.
The qualified applicants should have professional filmmaking experience, teaching experience, and the ability to mentor students. Interested individuals must submit their CV, cover letter, and three references upon application.
Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) Cinema Program is recruiting a pool of applicants on an ongoing basis for adjunct teaching positions. The Cinema Program will consult the adjunct applicant pool and contact qualified applicants whose credentials match our specific teaching needs on an as‑needed basis. Given these criteria, this pool will only be assessed when an adjunct opportunity arises.
Possible adjunct opportunities could include teaching a course(s) in any of the areas of study offered by the Cinema Program. A link to course descriptions from VCU's Undergraduate Bulletin can be found at https://bulletin.vcu.edu/azcourses/cine/.
Adjunct faculty are expected to be thoughtful and proactive members of the Cinema community and have a desire to work collaboratively with other adjunct instructors, students, faculty and staff from all background and experiences.
