This role is with VCU Health. WayUp is partnering with VCU Health to hire top talent.

The Clinical Nurse positions (I, II, III) involve integrating technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet patient and family needs, assisting with prevention of illness, injury, wellness maintenance, and comfort. Responsibilities include delivering and documenting age-specific care, administering medications safely, and providing leadership and education at the unit level.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or an eligible/compact state.
  • For continued employment: RN licensure in Virginia, AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
  • Experience varies by level: Clin I (none), Clin II (12-24 months), Clin III (3+ years).
  • Education: Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred; Clin III certification in specialty area preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Follows physician/provider orders, practices within Virginia nursing regulations, guided by ANA Code of Ethics and VCUHS policies.
  • Supervisory responsibilities include organizing work and delegating tasks.
  • Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, with schedule adjustments as needed.
  • Physical activities include lifting, prolonged standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and exposure to hazardous substances.

This position is classified as entry level, full-time, in the healthcare provider sector, with a focus on cardiac ICU nursing.
