Job summary

Volantis Semiconductor, Inc. is seeking a hands-on testing specialist to develop and qualify testing procedures for VCSEL lasers and scale them for mass production.

You will own development and implementation of testing and reliability procedures for first- and second-generation laser designs and their integration with the wafer-scale interposer. You will partner with laser design, packaging and quality teams to define test plans, collect and analyze device data, and ensure robust, scalable

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with semiconductor laser testing, characterization, validation, reliability and qualification.
• Experience designing prober systems, test fixtures and related software automation.
• Proficiency with optical and electrical test equipment such as SMUs, optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, VNAs, and beam profilers.

Responsibilities

• Defining test plans, specifications and pass/fail criteria for new VCSEL designs.
• Characterizing prototype devices and delivering analyses for design iterations.
• Managing test data, wafer maps, yield analysis and SPC with designers.
• Designing, building and maintaining wafer- and die-level prober systems, test fixtures and automated test software.
• Owning qualification and ramp-up of VCSEL array testing systems for high-volume production.
• Collaborating with laser design, packaging and interposer teams to prove out VCSEL reliability.
