Job summary

Veterans Canteen Service (VCS) at the Poplar Bluff VA Medical Center seeks full-time Food Service Workers to provide fast-paced, friendly service in our cafes and retail markets.

Candidates should be able to read instructions, perform basic math, and handle standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.

• A current, valid REAL ID is required to work at Veterans Canteen Service.
• Ability to read instructions and perform basic math for food preparation.
• Requires constant standing, walking, and frequent bending.
• Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the food service industry is preferred but not necessary.
