Job summary

HDR is seeking an experienced IT professional for operational support of the VCF private cloud platform in Virginia. Responsibilities include administration of SDDC Manager, routine platform tasks such as host management, and monitoring platform health. The ideal candidate will have hands-on VMware vSphere experience and at least 3 years in infrastructure operations.

This full-time role requires on-site presence with 24/7 operational support. Scheduled on-call flexibility and critical business continuity actions are necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure operations, virtualization, or systems administration.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware vSphere administration.
• Experience managing ESXi hosts, clusters, and virtual machines.
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
• Working knowledge of core datacenter concepts including compute, storage, networking.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day operational support for the VCF private cloud platform.
• Support administration of SDDC Manager and workload domains.
• Execute routine platform tasks like host adds/removals.
• Monitor platform health and elevate issues to senior engineers.
