Job summary

Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) seeks a VCF-Migration Engineer to execute bulk templated migrations using VMware HCX and Zerto, and to monitor configurations on vSphere and vSAN post-migration.

You will coordinate with the Migration Coordinator/PMO and Sales to scope, design, and streamline build, deploy, and management of migrated environments, and you will drive Infrastructure-as-Code with PowerCLI, Ansible, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Experience with bulk templated migrations using HCX and Zerto
• Ability to monitor and test performance on vSphere/vSAN post-migration
• Coordination with Migration Coordinator/PMO and Sales for scoping and design
• Proactive identification and resolution of migration issues with stakeholders
• Troubleshooting migration issues and tuning HCX/Zerto jobs
• Implementation of new technologies and upgrades in VMware environments
• Network analysis with Network/NSX Engineer to stabilize client networks
• Documentation of migration configurations for client production environments
• Collaboration with Automation Engineer on PowerCLI, Ansible, Terraform usage
• Adherence to Infrastructure-as-Code deployment practices for repeatable builds
• Ownership mindset and contribution to team process improvements

Responsibilities

• Executes bulk templated migrations using VMware HCX and Zerto-based replication.
• Monitors, logs, and tests configurations for performance on vSphere and vSAN post-migration.
• Coordinates with the Migration Coordinator/PMO and Sales to streamline build, deploy, and management for migrations into VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Proactively identifies potential issues and works with stakeholders during wave execution.
• Troubleshoots migration issues, performs root cause analysis, and tunes HCX/Zerto jobs.
• Implements new technologies in customer environments, including vSphere/vSAN upgrades tied to VCF adoption.
• Performs network analysis for client networks with the Network/NSX Engineer to stabilize operations.
• Generates and maintains migration configuration documents for client production networks and systems.
• Works with the Automation Engineer to leverage PowerCLI, Ansible, and Terraform to improve delivery quality and speed.
• Follows Senior Migration Engineer guidance on Infrastructure-as-Code deployment practices to support repeatable builds.
• Takes ownership to address issues and recommends best practices for team processes.
