Cloud Capital is a global investment management firm founded by Hossein Fateh, the Founder and CEO of CloudHQ LLC and Co‑founder and former CEO of DuPont Fabros Technology (DFT). The firm was established to identify and capitalize on acquisitions of high‑quality data centers across the globe. Led by a team of highly experienced investment professionals and supported by CloudHQ, Cloud Capital will acquire, manage, develop and operate data centers to become the long‑term owner and operator of choice for tenants globally.

What the Role Entails

This crucial role will provide investment activity support on behalf of Cloud Capital, focusing on a variety of assets and platforms. Some of the key responsibilities include underwriting and evaluating incoming investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and executing investments. This role also involves performing market analysis and research, preparing investment materials, financial modeling, and supporting asset management functions. Additionally, the position contributes to developing expertise and cultivating strategic relationships within the data center sector.

What You Will Get to Do

• Assisting with the preparation and evaluation of investment proposals, including Investment Committee papers
• Assisting/leading with transaction due diligence and execution, including leading workstreams and building and/or reviewing financial models, as required
• Leading market and sector research and analysis, and providing updates on any insights or developments
• Collaborating with senior investment professionals in originating, evaluating and analyzing new investment opportunities
• Assisting the group with managing and monitoring existing investments, and identifying and implementing new initiatives as part of the group’s asset management plan
• Working with existing portfolio companies to assist in the execution of their respective business plans from the point of initial investment to exit
• Managing and maintaining relationships within the industry, including investment banks, fund managers, independent valuers, consultants, and peer institutional investors

What You Bring to the Role

• A Bachelor’s degree covering Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or another quantitative subject, with a strong academic history)
• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant sector experience in Private Equity or M&A Advisory from a leading investment bank
• Possess a demonstrated track record of relevant deal flow execution
• Strong quantitative/numerical skills – advanced financial and operational modelling skills
• Independent and entrepreneurial character with high commercial acumen and a ‘returns’ driven mindset
• Excellent written/presentation and oral communication skills
• Able to work effectively and collaboratively with different members of the team
