Job summary

Cloud Capital in San Francisco seeks a 2–4 year investment professional with Private Equity or M&A advisory experience to help evaluate proposals, perform due diligence, and build financial models. The role emphasizes market research, deal execution, and close collaboration with senior teams to drive portfolio value.

You will work with banks, managers, and peers to source opportunities and support portfolio companies through value-creation initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of sector experience in Private Equity or M&A Advisory.
• Proven track record of deal flow execution.
• Strong advanced financial and operational modelling skills.
• Independent and entrepreneurial with high commercial acumen.
• Excellent written/presentation and oral communication skills.
• Able to work effectively with team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or another quantitative subject.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evaluate investment proposals, including Investment Committee papers.
• Assist/lead transaction due diligence and execution, including building/reviewing financial models.
• Lead market and sector research with insights on developments.
• Collaborate with senior investment professionals on originating and analysing opportunities.
• Assist in managing existing investments and implementing new initiatives.
• Support portfolio companies to execute business plans from initial investment to exit.
• Maintain relationships with investment banks, fund managers, valuers, consultants, and peers.

Led by a team of highly experienced investment professionals and supported by CloudHQ, Cloud Capital will acquire, manage, develop and operate data centers to become the long-term owner and operator of choice for tenants globally.

What The Role Entails

• Assisting with the preparation and evaluation of investment proposals, including Investment Committee papers
• Assisting/leading with transaction due diligence and execution, including leading workstreams and building and/or reviewing financial models, as required
• Leading market and sector research and analysis, and provide updates on any insights or developments
• Collaborating with senior investment professionals in originating, evaluating and analysing new investment opportunities
• Assisting the group with managing and monitoring existing investments, and identifying and implementing new initiatives as part of the group’s asset management plan
• Working with existing portfolio companies to assist in the execution of their respective business plans from the point of initial investment to exit
• Managing and maintaining relationships within the industry, including investment banks, fund managers, independent valuers, consultants, and peer institutional investors

What You Bring to the Role

• 2-4 years of relevant sector experience in Private Equity or M&A Advisory from a leading investment bank
• Possess a demonstrated track record of relevant deal flow execution
• Strong quantitative/numerical skills – advanced financial and operational modelling skills
• Independent and entrepreneurial character with high commercial acumen and a 'returns'-driven mindset
• Excellent written/presentation and oral communication skills
• Able to work effectively and collaboratively with different members of the team
• Strong academic track record, including a Bachelor’s degree covering Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or another quantitative subject
