Job description

Risant Health, a nonprofit affiliate of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, is transforming healthcare by accelerating the adoption of value-based care across community health systems. Headquartered in the Washington, DC area, Risant Health partners with nonprofit, community-based systems—starting with Geisinger—to expand access to care that prioritizes health outcomes and affordability.

Backed by nearly 80 years of Kaiser Permanente’s value-based care expertise, Risant Health operates independently to support its portfolio of health systems with shared resources, strategic guidance, and operational support—while preserving their community roots.

The Value-Based Platform (VBP) Product team plays a key role in shaping and delivering solutions that advance aspects of value-based care within Risant Health Organizations (RHOs). The portfolio of solutions drives outcomes – total cost of care reduction, clinical quality improvement, better experiences, health equity and simplicity – to achieve business and financial objectives. The Delivery team is a function of the broader Platform Strategy and Delivery team under the Business Lead, and ensures the implementation of solutions with quality, speed, efficiency, and impact by supporting teams with program, project, and product delivery expertise. The team develops and tracks project plans aligned to solution development, enabling consistent and effective execution across initiatives.

The Program Manager, VBP Healthcare Operations leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of Value-Based Products (VBP) initiatives, translating product vision into executable project plans. This role ensures alignment across product teams and stakeholders, drives successful delivery to timelines and quality standards, and facilitates handoff to implementation. The Program Manager also oversees resource management, process adherence, risk mitigation, and vendor coordination to support program success.

The role requires up to 30% travel.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Program Planning & Execution: Deconstruct a release definition into a work breakdown structure consisting of sprints that combine technology and process/operational deliverables that cumulatively deliver product value.
  • Product Team Partnership: Partner closely with product teams to ensure alignment between strategic goals and execution, maintaining clarity of scope and shared understanding across stakeholders.
  • Delivery Management: Track successful delivery of VBP programs to agreed timelines, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and senior leadership to ensure alignment, buy-in, and engagement throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Facilitate effective communication across cross-functional teams, surfacing risks, dependencies, and decision points proactively, and representing program status through dashboards and executive updates. Partner with Engagement leads and Implementation team to handoff planning efforts and take through the remaining phases of SDLC
  • Resource & Performance Oversight: Oversee task assignments and resource alignment to ensure optimal team performance and delivery outcomes closely with Delivery Lead.
  • Process Adherence & SDLC Alignment: Promote and ensure adherence to established processes and policies, including SDLC standards and organizational best practices; partner with the Implementation Management Office (IMO) for seamless handoff to implementation.
  • Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, escalating when necessary; lead organizational change management activities including user adoption, training, and implementation planning.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination: Collaborate with third-party vendors and partners as needed, ensuring performance expectations and service levels are met.
Required Qualifications
