Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring for a full-time vascular sonography position in the WFBMC Main Cardiology: Vascular Laboratory. The role requires a graduate of a CAAHEP vascular sonography program or comparable RVT/RVS credentials, and new grads must obtain RVT or RVS within one year.

BLS certification is required, and the schedule is outpatient, Mon-Fri, with no call. You’ll perform basic vascular ultrasound testing, verify orders, document findings, and enter data into the cardiovascular reporting

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAAHEP vascular sonography program or comparable RVT/RVS credentials.
• New graduates must obtain RVT or RVS credential within one year of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician’s orders and reviews patient record prior to exam.
• Performs basic vascular ultrasound testing according to protocols.
• Documents abnormal pathologies and provides preliminary report to physician.
• Enters measurement data and final report into cardiovascular system.
• Ensures equipment is cleaned and functioning per guidelines.
