Job summary

Endeavor Health's Highland Park Hospital is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform arterial duplex, venous, carotid, and related vascular ultrasound tests. The role requires completion of a two-year ultrasound program and RVT certification within one year for new grads.

Two or more years of clinical experience are preferred. You will coordinate the vascular lab schedule, ensure patient safety, and support lab operations across sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year ultrasound program.
• Certified Vascular Technologist (RVT). New grads must obtain ARDMS or CCI certification within 1 year.
• 2+ years of clinical experience highly preferred; ability to independently perform arterial, venous and carotid imaging.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs vascular ultrasound testing, including arterial duplex and physiologic, venous, carotid, transcranial imaging, hemodialysis, abdominal aorta, renal and mesenteric arteries.
• Communicates abnormal or positive results promptly to providers and follows up on physician instructions as needed.
• Coordinates the daily vascular lab schedule, works with nursing units and physician offices, and helps ensure efficient day-to-day department operations.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety throughout testing, responds appropriately to emergencies, and assists with patient and family needs.
• Operates, cleans, and maintains vascular ultrasound equipment, including providing procedural ultrasound support.
• Assisting with staff training as needed.
• Supports department operations through scheduling, documentation, coding/reimbursement requirements, accreditation activities, ongoing education, and coverage at other vascular sites as needed.
