Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Highland Park Hospital is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform arterial, venous, and carotid ultrasound studies with a focus on accuracy and patient safety. The role includes coordinating the vascular lab schedule and providing ultrasound support across procedures.

The position offers a 40-hour work week, on-site at Highland Park, with on-call duties and potential for sign-on bonuses based on experience. New grads must obtain ARDMS/CCI within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year ultrasound program.
• Certified Vascular Technologist (RVT). New graduates must obtain ARDMS or CCI certification within 1 year.
• 2+ years of clinical experience highly preferred; ability to independently perform arterial, venous and carotid imaging.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs vascular ultrasound testing, including arterial duplex and physiologic, venous, carotid, transcranial imaging, hemodialysis, abdominal aorta, renal and mesenteric arteries.
• Communicates abnormal or positive results promptly to providers and follows up on physician instructions as needed.
• Coordinates the daily vascular lab schedule with nursing units and physician offices.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety during testing; responds to emergencies and assists patients and families.
• Operates, cleans, and maintains vascular ultrasound equipment and provides procedural ultrasound support.
• Assists with staff training as needed.
• Supports operations through scheduling, documentation, coding/reimbursement, accreditation, education, and cross-site coverage.
