Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) is seeking a Registered Vascular Technologist/Registered Sonographer to join the Ultrasound department in Carbondale, IL. The role focuses on vascular ultrasound with opportunities to expand echocardiography skills within the cardiovascular team.

Responsibilities include performing vascular ultrasound exams, using PACS/EMR, and maintaining safety and quality standards. RVT/RDMS dual registry or cardiac experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certificate program in Radiology/Ultrasound.
• 1–3 years vascular sonography experience preferred (RVT).
• Dual registry (RVT/RDCS) or cardiac experience encouraged.

Responsabilités

• Performs ultrasound and radiography exams as appropriate.
• Uses PACS and EMR systems.
• Maintains IV/Contrast competency where required.
• Follows protocols for patient positioning, exposure control and radiation safety.
• Communicates clearly with the care team.
• Cleans and inventories equipment and imaging rooms.
• Maintains department cleanliness and stock.
