Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Vascular Technologist/Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform vascular and general ultrasound exams in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes patient safety, protocol compliance, and teamwork within the imaging department.

The candidate should hold RVT or RDMS credentials or be registry eligible, with a plan to complete required exams within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Assoc. degree or certificate in Radiology/Ultrasound.
• Licenses: RVT/RVS or ARRT (S) registry eligible; pass ARDMS SPI; within 6–12 months obtain RVT/RVS or ARRT VS.
• RDMS registry eligible with SPI; ultrasound vigilance and patient safety requirements.

Responsabilités

• Performs ultrasound and radiography exams per protocols.
• Uses PACS and EMR systems to document findings.
• Maintain IV/contrast competency where required.
• Follow radiation protection and exposure protocols.
• Communicate clearly with patient care team.
• Clean and inspect imaging equipment and rooms.
• Maintain department equipment and stock exam rooms.
