Job Summary

Performs a variety of standardized noninvasive cardiovascular tests with accuracy and precision necessary to satisfy department standards and physician interpreters while projecting a professional image, conserving hospital property and assets and meeting competency requirements. Provides direct patient care.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology / Sonography and 4 years additional relevant experience is acceptable. Required

Work Experience

=> 3 years Cardiovascular Ultrasound Required

Licenses and Certifications

Must be able to sit for ARDMS Registry in Adult Echo or Vascular Technology Required

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates technical skill in using equipment appropriate for role.
• Understands equipment operation.
• Maintains equipment in working order. Troubleshoots equipment problems.
• Uses technology to increase productivity. Adapts to new technology
• Perform required exams without supervision that meet quality standards of the lab and interpreting physicians.
• Act as a resource in area of expertise.
• Provide leadership and training opportunities to department through department stand ups and on the job training.
