Job summary

The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a noninvasive vascular technologist to perform routine and specialized vascular blood flow tests under general supervision. You will obtain vascular history, explain the study, perform Doppler/duplex ultrasound, and document findings in EPIC and VascuPro, training residents and liaising with providers.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, completed a CAAHEP program in vascular ultrasound, RVT/RVS certification or plan to become

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP- approved vascular ultrasound program preferred.
• RVT/RVS certification or eligible to register within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic noninvasive vascular testing as requested.
• Obtain relevant medical history and explain procedures to patients.
• Generate preliminary interpretations for referring providers.
• Document findings in EPIC and VascuPro.
• Train surgical residents and ultrasound students in vascular testing methods.
• Participate in vascular research activities as directed.
