Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in vascular studies including duplex carotid, venous, and peripheral arterial scanning.
• Graduate from an approved ultrasound training program or equivalent experience.
• Registered Vascular Technologist certification and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy, pathology, and non-invasive testing methods.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures, prepare and position patients, and monitor patient condition during tests.
• Assist in developing techniques, review diagnostic results, and communicate findings to providers.
• Perform vascular diagnostic procedures using ultrasound equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Schedule appointments, record patient data, and prepare reports on findings.
• Maintain equipment, calibrate devices, and ensure sterilization of supplies.
• Record data, enter into databases, and maintain documentation for quality assurance.
• Coordinate department activities, train staff, and ensure adherence to standards.
