The role you’ll contribute:

The Diagnostic Medical and Vascular Sonographer performs general and vascular sonography procedures in accordance with department protocols, under general supervision. Performs ultrasound procedures on neonatal through geriatric patients, assists physicians with interventional procedures, and ensures quality and safety standards are met. Participates in performance improvement and adheres to compliance and safety standards, maintaining respectful relationships with patients and staff.

• Obtain high-quality scans considering patient body habitus and prep status.
• Review and thoroughly document all images, re-scan if needed.
• Complete exams efficiently, evaluate patient prep, and schedule accordingly.
• Use computer systems to update exam status, ensure charges match procedures, and verify patient and exam data.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely, adhere to infection control standards, and handle pharmaceutical waste properly.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• Graduate of Ultrasound Program
• BCLS - Basic Life Support
• ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography or
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or
• CCI - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or
• RDMS-A/B/OB - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certifications
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist

Preferred qualifications:

• Graduate of Vascular Ultrasound Program
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in healthcare-related field
