Job summary

Albany Medical Center in New York's Capital Region is seeking a clinical nurse for the Vascular Surgery unit. The RN implements orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs care and tests, and documents care per policy.

Must hold NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS, and have 1–3 years Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience. Excellent communication and time management are essential for compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional nursing program with Diploma/ADN/BSN.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license; BLS and ACLS certifications.
• 1–3 years of RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.

Responsibilities

• Implements physician orders and administers medications as required.
• Starts IVs, performs treatments and tests, documents care per policy.
• Evaluates patient needs and applies sound nursing judgment in care planning.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to support the Plan of Care.
