Position Overview

Pay range: $29.25 - $47.55 / hour

Job Description

• To provide and manage patient care in a clinical area for specific age and patient populations.
• To implement technologist-specific duties.
• To utilize critical thinking skills in the evaluation of care and the triage of patients.
• To display good rapport and professionalism with all customers and members of the multidisciplinary healthcare delivery team.
• To plan and organize activities.
• To demonstrate good communication skills.
• To maintain productive interpersonal relationships.
• To react appropriately under stressful situations.
• To teach and direct others.
• To thoroughly and accurately document patient and test information.
• To enter test information into computer, interpret and print results.
• To make all necessary copies for disbursement and correctly enter information on charge ticket using the appropriate ICD-9 and CPT codes.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Currently Registered Vascular Technologist/Sonographer required or registry eligible. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certificate from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Current CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
