Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem in Glenview, IL seeks a PRN Vascular Technologist to independently perform vascular ultrasound studies including arterial, venous, carotid, transcranial and abdominal exams. The role requires accurate reporting and coordination with nursing and physician offices.

Responsibilities include patient safety, equipment operation, and participation in departmental training and accreditation activities; 2-year ultrasound program and RVT with ARDMS/CCI within 1 year are

Qualifications

• Completion of a 2-year ultrasound program.
• RV T certification; ARDMS or CCI within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform arterial, venous, carotid, transcranial and abdominal vascular studies.
• Communicate abnormal findings to providers and document accurately.
• Coordinate lab schedules and collaborate with nursing and physician offices.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during testing and respond to emergencies.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; support operations, training and accreditation.
