Job Summary And Qualifications
Seeking a Vascular Technologist / Sonographer who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.
What you will do in this role:
- Perform vascular ultrasonic procedures as directed by physicians.
- Performs non-invasive hemodynamic evaluations and writes test results.
- Explaining procedures to patients to assure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Positioning patients and selecting the appropriate transducer
- Conducting scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment by moving scanner over specified body area and adjusting equipment to focus
- Performs exams properly and in a timely manner
- Takes patient history and retrieves previous files
- Coordinates patient flow and checks daily list to ensure all exams are complete
- Maintaining equipment
- Maintain department records, reports and files
- Perform other duties as required
- Must read and understand and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures
- Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Values statements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of vascular sonography
- Must have sufficient knowledge of anatomy and physiology pertaining to vascular examinations
- Skill in problem solving
- Skill in organization
- Skill in using basic office equipment, including computer, telephone, photocopier, and fax machine
- Ability to operate ultrasound equipment in vascular lab
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively under stress.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with others.
- Ability to effectively communicate
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum one-year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
- Must hold one or more of the following credentials: Registered Vascular Tech, Registered Cardiac Sonographer OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in accordance with state regulation and clinical specialty*.
- Certification through ARDMS OR ARRT is required.
