Join to apply for the Vascular Technologist - Part-Time role at University Hospital.

The primary purpose of the Vascular Technologist position is to perform noninvasive vascular testing on inpatients and outpatients, ensure appropriate and timely documentation of studies performed, and maintain laboratory space, supplies, and equipment. This role contributes to an effective performance improvement program for the Vascular Laboratory, aligned with University Hospital's plans and Intersocietal Committee for Accreditation of Vascular Laboratory (IAC) standards. It also involves staying updated with the latest vascular laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Perform all non-invasive vascular testing for inpatients and outpatients.
2. Maintain accurate documentation of studies in the vascular laboratory.
3. Manage day-to-day activities of the vascular lab in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
4. Maintain laboratory space, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficiency and productivity.
5. Participate in the vascular laboratory quality assurance program.
6. Review test results with reading physicians promptly.
7. Participate actively in quality assurance meetings, reviewing test quality.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAAHEP-approved ultrasound or vascular technology program.
• Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) certification required.
• Annual Respirator Fit Testing.
• Credentialing through CRI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Demands

This role requires transporting portable vascular equipment and performing bedside procedures when patients cannot visit the lab. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, and use hands freely for about two-thirds of the time. Clear vision and effective communication skills are essential.

Work Environment

Moderate noise levels typical of clinical settings, with moderate patient contact during portable studies.
