Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eighteen months vascular experience; recent hospital experience as a vascular technologist.
• Minimum six months TCD experience; ability to perform Transcranial Doppler studies.
• Credentialing in vascular testing (RVT, RVS) or must attain within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough understanding of vascular principles and proper technique to optimize examinations.
• Prepares and prints complete reports of transcranial doppler findings with waveforms for physician review.
• Maintains equipment and keeps exam rooms clean, safe, and well-stocked.
• Communicates with patients to obtain history, explain procedures, and ensure safety.
