Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Neurovascular Tech (R) to perform a variety of non-invasive vascular exams and transcranial Doppler testing under physician direction. The role ensures accurate data, proper documentation, and timely reporting while maintaining safety and equipment readiness.

Excellent patient care practices are required; 40-hour work week with on-site responsibilities and non-exempt status. FLSA and credentialing expectations apply as noted in the job description.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 18 months vascular experience; hospital vascular technologist experience; minimum 6 months TCD experience.
• Ability to perform Transcranial Doppler studies.
• Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider; credentialing in vascular testing (RVT, RVS) or plan to attain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-invasive vascular exams for diagnosis of vascular disorders as directed by a physician.
• Performs accurate and interpretable transcranial doppler testing.
• Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work area in a neat and safe condition.
• Document intracranial velocities at all designated sites and print complete reports for physician review.
• Logs and charges all procedures accurately and routes studies to physicians for interpretation.
