Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking an experienced vascular ultrasound technologist to perform non-invasive vascular exams on admitted patients. You will ensure technical accuracy and record results for interpretation by the Medical Director.

The role requires eligibility for RVT or RVS certification, BLS within two weeks, and CPR certification. You will join a large health system with extensive services across Kentucky and Indiana.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an allied health field program.
• Associate Degree program preferred.
• Must be registered or eligible for RVT or RVS within 3 months of hire; other registries must obtain RVT/RVS within 9 months.
• BLS within 2 weeks of hire; CPR certification required.

Job Description: Sign-On Bonus for Experienced Candidates Job Summary: Patient population includes any patient admitted to Baptist Hospital, age 5 years to geriatrics. Assesses the vascular system according to the exam ordered. Performs the vascular exams in a professional manner demonstrating technical accuracy and a thorough understanding of the equipment. Records the results of the exam for interpretation by the Medical Director. Assists with the collection and analysis of data for statistical purposes.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required

Graduate of an allied health field program. Associate Degree program preferred. Must be registered or be an eligible candidate for registry in Vascular Ultrasound through the following: Registry through either the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) within 3 months of hire. Applicants who are registered in another ultrasound registry, such as, RDMS-AB, RDMS, RDCS, or RCS must obtain their RVT or RVS within 9 months of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 2 weeks of hire, Graduates of an accredited vascular ultrasound program must be registered within 3 months of hire. CPR certification required
