Job summary

Tenet Healthcare in Florida seeks a qualified vascular ultrasound professional to perform and support vascular imaging procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with protocol. You will maintain quality logs and assist in accreditation readiness, while coordinating patient care with radiology staff.

• AA Degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography program.
• ARDMS RVT certification or CCI registered vascular specialist.
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider.
• 1 year of clinical experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related computer programs.
• Ability to work with teams in remote offices and independently.
• Willingness to be flexible in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Produces clear and undistorted images per established protocols.
• Identifies and visualizes anatomy, measures, and labels structures.
• Documents patient information, test results and measurements.
• Recognizes normal/abnormal vascular anatomy and reports findings.
• Utilizes 2-D, M-Mode, color flow and Doppler imaging as indicated.
• Reports abnormal findings to the Radiologist promptly.
• Ensures correct patient information on requests, reports and PACS.
• Monitors equipment and department supplies.
• Organizes work area and maintains supplies.

Job Summary

Coordinates and assists in all activities performed in the vascular laboratory. Operates Ultrasound equipment to perform a variety of vascular imaging procedures as indicated by physician orders and protocols. Maintains quality assurance logs, updates policies and procedures, and maintains requirements as indicated for IAC and ACR accreditations. Attends to direct and indirect patient care needs to ensure successful completion of requested imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and visualizes all necessary anatomy, measurements and correctly labels structures.
• Documents patient information, test results and measurements accurately
• Recognizes normal and abnormal vascular anatomy and physiology and reports critical values and abnormal findings per established policy and procedures
• Utilizes 2-Dimensional, M-Mode, color flow and Doppler imaging techniques when indicated
• Abnormal patient findings are immediately reported to the Radiologist
• Assures correct patient information on requests, reports and PACS
• Monitors equipment and department supplies
• Organizes work area and maintains supplies

Qualifications

Education / Experience

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience required to perform the job.

• AA Degree required
• Graduate of an accredited program for Ultrasonography required
• Active member of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with RVT certification or a registered vascular specialist by CCI
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider required
• 1-year clinical setting
• Strong proficiency in computer-based programs such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Ability to work well with other team members and consultants in remote offices as well as independently
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable in a complex, matrix environment
