Job summary

Integra Vascular seeks an ultrasound technologist to prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment, conduct sonography exams, and ensure patient safety per HIPAA and facility protocols. The role requires venous insufficiency experience and ARDMS/CCI registry competency.

The successful candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound according to Integra Vascular's protocols, document findings, and maintain collaboration with the care team, while traveling as needed and maintaining professional

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment for sonography exams
• Proper patient identification before exams
• Review supporting clinical information
• Evaluate contraindications and patient prep
• Position patients for comfort and safety
• Perform diagnostic sonography exams per ultrasound protocols
• Acquire additional images as needed for diagnostic results
• Document findings and any incidental findings
• Maintain patient privacy per HIPAA
• Troubleshoot equipment or call for assistance
• Cares for ultrasound equipment and notifies of issues
• Collaborate with health-care team
• Maintain education and training in Sonography
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with Integra Vascular's policies and procedures
• Practices proper patient identification before proceeding with an exam
• Review all supporting clinical information
• Evaluate any contraindications, insufficient patient prep, and patient's inability or unwillingness to tolerate the examination
• Use proper patient positioning and equipment adjustments to ensure patient and sonographer comfort and safety
• Knowledge of infectious diseases and the utilization of Universal Precautions
• Perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations placed by the ordering physician in accordance with Integra Vascular's ultrasound protocols
• Acquires additional images when needed for optimal diagnostic results
• Identifies and documents any limitations of the exam and prepares comments/findings at the end of the exam
• Documents any incidental findings that might impact patient safety or care
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA
• Ability to troubleshoot issues or call for assistance
• Properly cares for Ultrasound equipment and notifies the office if there are any issues
• Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team
• Maintains education and training in Sonography
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or direct management

Qualifications

• Prior Venous Insufficiency experience preferred
• RVT Certification preferred
• Ultrasound Certificate
• Competency in specialty area/s performed and ARDMS or CCI registry
• Proficiency in computer skills
• PACS and EMR experience
• Committed to professional growth and learning
• Clean driving record
• Travel required
• Not listed on the OIG exclusion list
