Job summary

Integra Vascular LLC seeks a skilled ultrasound technician to prepare exam rooms, conduct venous and vascular sonography exams, and review clinical information ensuring patient safety and privacy. The role requires adherence to protocols, ability to acquire diagnostic images, and collaboration within the care team.

Candidates should have RVT or ARDMS/CCI credentials preferred, a valid BLS, and experience with PACS/EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Venous Insufficiency experience preferred.
• RVT Certification preferred.
• Ultrasound Certificate.
• Competency in specialty area performed and ARDMS or CCI registry.
• Not listed on the OIG exclusion list.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams.
• Practices proper patient identification before proceeding with an exam.
• Review all supporting clinical information.
• Evaluate contraindications, insufficient patient prep, and patient tolerances.
• Use proper patient positioning and equipment adjustments for comfort and safety.
• Knowledge of infectious diseases and Universal Precautions.
• Perform diagnostic sonography exams per ultrasound protocols.
• Acquire additional images as needed for optimal diagnostic results.
• Identify and document limitations of the exam; prepare findings.
• Document incidental findings that might impact patient safety or care.
• Maintain patient privacy per HIPAA.
• Troubleshoot issues or call for assistance.
• Care for Ultrasound equipment and notify if issues arise.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the health care team.
• Maintain education and training in Sonography.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with Integra Vascular's policies and procedures
• Practices proper patient identification before proceeding with an exam
• Review all supporting clinical information
• Evaluate any contraindications, insufficient patient prep, and patient’s inability or unwillingness to tolerate the examination
• Use proper patient positioning and equipment adjustments to ensure patient and sonographer comfort and safety
• Knowledge of infectious diseases and the utilization of Universal Precautions
• Perform diagnostic medical sonography examinations placed by the ordering physician in accordance with Integra Vascular's ultrasound protocols
• Acquires additional images when needed for optimal diagnostic results
• Identifies and documents any limitations of the exam and prepares comments/findings at the end of the exam
• Documents any incidental findings that might impact patient safety or care
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA
• Ability to troubleshoot issues or call for assistance
• Properly cares for Ultrasound equipment and notifies the office if there are any issues
• Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team
• Maintains education and training in Sonography
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor or direct management

Qualifications

• Prior Venous Insufficiency experience preferred
• RVT Certification preferred
• Ultrasound Certificate
• Competency in specialty area/s performed and ARDMS or CCI registry
• Proficiency in computer skills
• PACS and EMR experience
