Job summary

VA Providence Healthcare System seeks a Section Chief for Vascular Surgery to provide leadership, clinical care, and education for residents and medical students.

The role covers inpatient and outpatient management with oversight of credentialing and quality initiatives, in a setting that emphasizes teaching and research collaboration with Brown University. Strong leadership and board certification in vascular surgery are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with degree from an approved school
• Board certified or eligible in vascular surgery
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US
• Residency/fellowship in vascular surgery program approved by ACGME/AOA
• Experience in leadership/teaching of residents and medical students

Responsibilities

• Lead the Vascular Surgery Section with clinical leadership and administrative oversight
• Provide inpatient and outpatient vascular care
• Oversee credentialing, privileging, and quality monitoring
• Supervise residents and medical students; participate in teaching
• Conduct examinations, diagnoses, and treatments in vascular surgery
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Coordinate with Brown University School of Medicine and affiliated institutions
• Support recruitment, incentives, and EDRP program administration
