Job summary

Department of Veterans Affairs' Providence VA Medical Center seeks a Section Chief of Vascular Surgery to provide high‑quality care to Veterans, lead a dedicated team, and mentor residents and medical students.

The role combines OR time, outpatient clinic, inpatient rounds and consultations with opportunities for academic appointments with Brown University School of Medicine. Recruitment incentives and student loan repayment are available.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and completed vascular surgery residency/fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery.
• Eligible to practice with a current, unrestricted US medical license.
• Strong leadership, clinical, and teaching skills.

Join our respected Providence VA Medical Center as Section Chief of Vascular Surgery, where you'll provide high-quality care to Veterans and mentor the next generation of physicians.

Position Highlights

This role offers a balanced clinical workload, including OR time (non-cardiac cases), outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, emergency room consultation, vascular study interpretation, and protected administrative time for leadership duties.

• Monday-Friday, daytime hours (compressed schedule possible), limited shared call

• Lead a section within a comprehensive hospital environment including dedicated Nurse Practitioner focused on providing quality, comprehensive care to our Veterans

• Opportunity to teach and supervise surgery residents and medical students

• Potential for academic appointment with Brown University School of Medicine

• Base salary, plus opportunity for performance incentive
