Our nursing staff provides pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing various interventions for peripheral vascular disease. Surgical services include endoluminal and open repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, thoracic outlet decompression, carotid artery angioplasty and stenting, carotid endarterectomies, dialysis access (fistulas and grafts), catheter-directed thrombolysis, and various bypasses and stents for aorto-iliac, lower extremity, and upper extremity occlusive diseases.

Division 7500/75PCU is a fast-paced Cardiovascular Surgery unit with 25 beds, including step-down and PCU beds. We care for complex cardiovascular surgery patients, including those with aneurysms, thoracic outlet syndrome, carotid artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, arrhythmia surgery, and valve repairs. The Staff Nurse (RN) plays a vital role, using critical thinking and clinical expertise to assess and care for patients. Certification in BLS, ACLS, ACUTE CARE, arterial line monitoring, and pacer wires is required.
Role Purpose
Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, within nursing care standards.
