Job summary

The Cardiovascular Care Group in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join its vascular care team. The role supports physicians in patient evaluation, surgical assistance, inpatient management, and patient education.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of hospital PA experience; vascular surgery exposure is preferred. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered by the group.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certification and NJ PA licensure.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of two years PA hospital experience.
• Vascular surgery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, obtain histories, perform exams, document findings.
• Coordinate hospital admissions with supervising physician and provide consults.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care per protocols.
• Conduct daily hospital rounds and develop treatment plans with physicians.
• Assist intraoperatively and provide postoperative support.
• Perform procedures within PA scope (venipuncture, EKGs, catheter placements).
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery.
• Participate in discharge planning and communicate with team.
