Job summary

The Cardiovascular Care Group in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join its vascular care team, supporting physicians in evaluation, surgical assistance, and patient education.

The successful candidate will have at least two years of hospital PA experience; vascular surgery experience is preferred. The role includes rounds, perioperative care, and discharge planning, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification and NJ PA licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of two years PA hospital experience.
• Vascular surgery experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, obtain histories, and document findings.
• Coordinate hospital admissions with supervising physicians.
• Provide preop and postop care per protocols.
• Conduct daily rounds and develop treatment plans.
• Provide intraoperative assistance and postoperative support.
• Perform procedures within PA scope (lines, venipuncture, EKGs, etc.).
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdepartmental communication.
• Engage in quality assurance and patient satisfaction initiatives.
• Rotate weekend on-call schedule.
