Job summary

MedStar Health's MedStar Washington Hospital Center seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Vascular Surgery team on a PRN basis. Primary duties include pre- and post-operative care, establishing the plan of care, H&Ps, progress notes, and patient education.

Shifts include days, evenings and weekends, with a commitment of at least one shift per week; vascular/surgical background preferred but new grads considered.

Qualifications

• NP or PA with vascular surgery experience preferred.
• Open to new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
• Determine plan of care and conduct H&Ps.
• Document progress notes and patient education.
• Conduct follow-up cardiac evaluations as needed.
• Respond to urgent clinical inquiries.
• Collaborate with vascular surgery team on patient management.
• Participate in care coordination and discharge planning.
