Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• DD214-based military Medical Assistant training acceptable in lieu of MA program.
• Current CMA or RMA certification (or eligible) recognized by national bodies.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and clinic policies.
• Perform rooming tasks: vital signs, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures as ordered.
• Lab duties: venipuncture, specimen processing, POCT per orders.
• Administer medications and vaccines safely per rights.
• Handle referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and equipment readiness.
