Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and completion of an MA training program.
  • Two years of relevant medical assistant experience.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) through a recognized body.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules patient tests, procedures, and appointments.
  • Conducts patient outreach and post operative follow up calls.
  • Manages in-basket messages and coordinates incoming patient referrals.
  • Enters orders for patient tests and obtains proper paperwork.
  • Performs charting, filing and scanning of records and maintains documentation.
  • Takes vital signs and assists with in-office procedures.
  • Maintains clinic supplies and supports scheduling in Epic.
