Job summary

LMHS in Newark, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Physician Center LPN team. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, you will provide nursing care applying foundational knowledge across biological, physical, behavioral and social sciences.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians and nurses, administering medications with proper training, maintaining safety and equipment, and supporting continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing program and maintain current licensure in Ohio.
• Functions within the scope of nursing as defined by state law.
• Maintains BCLS certification and basic clinical competencies.
• Ability to care for pediatric to geriatric patients under supervision.
• Familiar with common office equipment and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians, NPs, and RNs in patient assessment and care planning.
• Provide direct technical nursing care to patients.
• Administer medications after completing required pharmacology training.
• Maintain clinical competency through ongoing education.
• Inform care team of patient symptoms, progress, and changes.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment according to universal precautions.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and data-driven results.
